The Armory, like all the New York City theaters, went dark last March and will remain that way until it’s safe to see each other in person again. In the meantime, our artists have focused on creating joy, laughter, and support for our community (as well as folx in different states and countries who were dispersed from their home theaters) through a zoom account we pay for. We also maintain this site, have month to month community expenses, in addition to the hope of preparing for a strong re-opening when we are able to do so.
No one in a leadership or admin position at The Armory takes a check for their work. It is all volunteer for as long as they can give their time. Every cent goes towards keeping The Armory going and giving adults a fun and supportive place to play. A playground.
We are dropping the donation button below in case any of you find yourselves able to give. There is no pressure to give, and we still hope to see you on zoom and when we re-open.
Stay safe and keep laughing,
The Armory
