Leah Evans
Founder, Owner
Leah Evans is the Founder and Director of The Armory at The Tank. She serves on The Panel (for sketch and improv) as well as appears regularly in her brainchild Shot4Shot. She is also the Owner and Managing Director of The Greenhouse.
Originally from Upstate New York Leah is an active improv coach in NYC and has toured the country improvising and teaching. She has been seen in various television and film projects and has worn many hats as an actor, writer, producer, and more. You may mainly know her as a writer and her plays have also been performed all around the United States. Again, she gets embarrassed about that, too. Eventual goals include becoming a late night television show sidekick and eventually renting her own tiny studio apartment. Much love to her cats.

Ian Herrin
Academic Director, Co-Founder
Hey friend! I'm Ian Herrin and I'm the Academic Director for The Greenhouse. I am currently on the UCB house team Hotcake and also did a previous round of Lloyd with Blush. I’ve been a UCB Diversity Jam leader since 2016, and I produce, book, run, perform, and host my own monthly show at The PIT Loft on Sunday nights aptly called The Ian Herrin Improv Hour, now in our fourth year. We also have a podcast, The Ian Herrin Improv Half-Hour, which you can subscribe and listen to wherever podcasts are found. I've worked with 100+ coaches including Matt Dennie, Shaun Diston, Elana Fishbein, Mike Kelton, Louis Kornfield, Peter McNerney, Vince Moore, Keaton Patti, Jenny St. Angelo, Kris Wiener, and soooo many more you might know. It was truly a dream to design the framework of The Greenhouse's curriculum, and I'm so proud to finally share it with everyone.

David Armstrong
Instructor
David has been teaching improvisation since his days as a performer in San Diego and Los Angeles, where he has been onstage at ComedySportz, IO, National Comedy Theatre, and The Groundlings, as well as several indy teams (shout-out to Girls' Lacrosse). Since moving to New York, he has returned to writing and still performs, most regularly with X Plus One, an improvised 1940s sci-fi radio show. He is looking forward to being part of the Greenhouse staff as teaching is one of his first loves, and improvisers are never finished learning.

Melissa Ulloa
Instructor
Melissa Ulloa has loved performing for as long as she can remember. After enrolling in the theater program in Palm Beach Community College in 2007, she discovered improv comedy and loved it immediately. In 2013, she graduated from The Royal Central School of Speech and Drama, where she got her BA in Acting [Collaborative & Devised Theatre]. (That's right. I put the 'r' before the 'e'. Deal with it!). While she loved and learned so much from her actor training, she really wanted to pursue her love affair with improv. She has studied at iO in Chicago, The Upright Citizens Brigade Theater (NYC) & Magnet Theater (NYC). She currently lives in Brooklyn and can regularly be seen performing in improv, sketch and character showcases throughout the city. She is on an all Latinx indie team called CHUCHO and on the Magnet Theater house team, Big Whoop! She also coaches/teaches improv and has created and conducted a vocal workshop specifically for improvisers called 'Use Your Voice!'. Melissa loves her life a lot and looks forward to more new adventures!

Anne Veal
Instructor
Anne is a creator/performer who focuses on improvised and devised theatre. Her work prizes connectivity and empathy and has been seen in Washington, DC; Prague; Kansas City; Chicago; Basin, MT; Louisville; and NYC. Internationally, she has improvised at Rapid Fire Theatre, Der Andre Teatret, and the Vancouver International Improv Festival. She has taught classes in Cat's Cradle, Improvised Play, Acting for Improvisers, and Ensemble and is always developing some (wonderfully) weird new workshop. Currently, she improvises with her cat's cradle team Dark Sneak Love Action, performs in the monthly live show and podcast Live! From Tomorrow, and creates work independently across NYC.

Billy Fenderson
Adjunct Instructor
Billy is an actor/artist that has collaborated and played in projects through New York and Chicago for the last 10 years. He has taught voice and acting workshops both in both cities, as well.
On the improv front, Billy has trained at The PIT and UCB, in New York. He currently performs on The Armory house team, Softball. Billy also performs in Awkward Family Dinner, Actor's Worst Nightmare, and The Living Room at The PIT and performed on PIT house teams for several seasons.
